Royal visit to the Castellana Caves
The Prince of Montenegro chooses to visit the popular Castellana hypogeum site during his visit to Puglia.
Castellana Rotte, 28 July 2016 – An unexpected and welcome visit by Prince Stephan Cernetic' of the Royal House Cernetic' of Montenegro and Hereditary Prince of Macedonia, Albania, Serbia and Vojvodina, and Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco, accompanied by his official delegate and advisor Vincenzo Frigulti, who reached the Castellana Caves on the morning of 28 July last and was welcomed by President Domi Ciliberti.
In Italy for pleasure but also to forge new business relationships, before descending into the cave, Prince Stephan declared his intention to invest in our region, being a supporter of Made in Italy products and, in particular, of the world-renowned typical Apulian products. "Italy will increasingly become a sort of 'Disney of culture,' in a positive sense, of course, where people come to taste excellent products, spend wonderful holidays, and even do business."
