Vinicio Capossela at the Castellana Caves
On July 21st with Ab Origine, words and music in a unique setting in the world
Castellana Grotte, July 15, 2014 – An exceptional event for the Castellana Caves which Monday 21 July at 20.30 host Vinicio Capossela, the third guest scheduled for 'Episodes', the series of meetings organized by Grotte di Castellana Srl in synergy with “Il Libro Possibile”.
Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and writer, the popular and beloved artist will descend into the bowels of the earth, seventy metres deep, giving words and music with the show “Ab Origine”, a Latin phrase (“from the very beginning” ndt) which fits well with the natural scenery of the Grave, the largest and most evocative cave in the Castellana karst complex.
In the magical atmosphere of a timeless place, Vinicio Capossela (voice piano, strings, songs, stories), will be accompanied by Gavino Murgia (aulophones, duduks, reed instruments), Peppe Frana (Oud, Cretan lyre, ancient guitars), Vincent Vasi (Teremin, samplers, marimba, percussion) and Taketo Gohara (sound direction).
The event is free but reservations are required, subject to availability.
