Lovers can choose between a "ritual" to seal their love and their relationship, and an evening enriched by Dante Alighieri's verses on the theme.

THE SHOW on Dante's verses will be staged only and exclusively on Wednesday 14 February 2024, at 21.30 pm
In the Castellana Caves, “Lovers' Day” will last 7 days. Lovers' Week will have a single objective: to make couples who decide to celebrate their party in the Caves lose their heads, both for the characteristics of the events and for the atmosphere and setting.
“Lovers in the Cave” and "Love that moves the sun and the other stars. Dante tells the story of Love.", are the events organized by Grotte di Castellana srl that will take place from Monday 12th to Sunday 18th February.
And so, seal your relationship with a "love ritual" that includes exchanging vows, a parchment to capture the memory, and a register to be signed for future reference should you wish, decades from now, to return to the places where a great love story first blossomed. Or, celebrate love by relying on the words of Dante and the actors who, along a short walk, will recite verses about love from the Supreme Poet's most famous works. Not just the Divine Comedy, then, but a carefully selected selection of hymns to the most praised and sung of all the feelings we know.

The first of the two experiences, depending on the accent with which it will be read (if “Falling in Love in a Cave” or “Falling in Love in a Cave”), will become a given or an invitation to let go. The tour will begin with the descent into the Grave, where couples will be guided and accompanied to the final ceremony location. An unforgettable journey, complete with lanterns and music in semi-darkness, as they will navigate with only the torches provided. The couples, who will proceed together, will separate from the group only in the Caverna della Fonte, where the "celebrant" will perform the love ritual and give them a parchment complete with a calcite love seal. Couples will be able to take a photo in the cave to commemorate the moment. After the ritual, a final toast will be held in the Grave cave.
“Lovers in the Cave” will start at 20pm every day, from 12th to 18th February, up to a maximum of 12 couples per day. "Love that moves the sun and the other stars. Dante tells the story of love," the second "Love Experience," will take place exclusively on February 14th at 9:30 PM.Twelve actors and actresses will take to the stage for an immersive, sensorial show dedicated to love as told by Dante Alighieri. Live performances and spoken voice will take place in a circular path that begins and ends in the Grave, where Beatrice will greet the loving couples in Dante's work. The Divine Comedy won't be the only theme, though there will also be numerous references to Inferno, which has been performed in the Caves for years thanks to Hell in the Cave.
