Observing the sky and learning about it is an exciting experience for adults and children alike at the panoramic terrace of the Franco Anelli Speleological Museum.
“A Night with Sirius,” organized by ACAS (Sirio Cultural Astronomical Association), responsible for the Astronomical Observatory located in the Castellana Caves, will lead you on a discovery of astronomy and celestial bodies.
Each event includes a mineral and meteorite exhibition, an introduction to astronomy, a guided observation of the starry sky, and a telescope to observe stars, clusters, galaxies, the moon, and planets.
The automatic Schmidt-Cassegrain 254/2500 telescope, the automatic Dobson 250/1200 telescope, a diffraction grating for viewing stellar spectra, and an anti-pollution filter will be used.
