After the reopening of guided tours to the public and the restart of the special Speleonight visit, here is another long-awaited great return for the Castellana Caves (Ba). It is Hell in the Cave, the largest underground aerial show in the world, a free performance of the first canto of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy at 70 metres depth, which returns to the stage Saturday July 25 (box office 20:15 PM, show starts 21:00 PM) after several months of forced hiatus due to the lockdown.
The gates of Hell officially reopen in the Grave delle Grotte di Castellana, which is preparing to welcome back spectators with a few changes and additional rules to follow to contain the spread of Covid-19, but always with the priority of offering a unique and unforgettable experience.
Directed by Enrico Romita and the dramaturgy of Giusy FrallonardoHell in the Cave is a sensory show born from a fascination and a deep love for the language and works of Dante Alighieri. A show that combines dance, voices, sounds, and lights, embracing the entire natural environment of the first and largest cave in the Castellana Caves as a stage.
Tickets to see “Hell in the Cave” are available on the circuit TicketOne or directly at the Castellana Caves ticket office. For a special price, you can also purchase a ticket that combines a full cave tour and a show on the same day. The combined ticket can only be purchased at the tourist site ticket office.
