The first Sottosuono event is dedicated to Puccini on the centenary of his death and will bring musicians and singers selected by Maestro Domenico Di Leo, pianist and professor of chamber music at the Nino Rota Conservatory in Monopoli, to the heart of the karst site. Under the artistic direction of Giuseppe Savino, they will perform a repertoire specially chosen for the occasion, including the Maestro's most famous arias. These aren't just performances, but performances that will touch visitors' souls thanks to sound waves that travel through corridors that bear witness to centuries of history. Two sopranos, three musicians, and an actor will make the experience among the karst concretions truly unique.
