UPCOMING “HELL IN THE CAVE” EVENTS
Castellana Grotte, July 27, 2017 – Paolo and Francesca, Count Ugolino, Ulysses, Beatrice, and of course Lucifer, the king of the underworld. The circles of Dante's memory really do exist. To find them, simply immerse yourself in the natural setting of the Castellana Caves, 70 meters below ground. A natural pantheon of extraordinary beauty, made even more intense by the Eternal Comedy.
The damned dance suspended in mid-air, others crawl among the age-old karst concretions, still others scream in despair. All accompanied by lights, smoke, sounds, and, of course, the hendecasyllabic verses that made the Divine Comedy the greatest work of Italian literature.
There is all this and new emotions every time in the show “Hell in the Cave – verses dancing in the dark air", the largest underground air show in the world.
The next appointment is scheduled for Saturday 29th July (Box office opens at 8:00 PM, gates open at 8:45 PM, show starts at 9:00 PM). Next events on the calendar: 5 – 10 – 12 – 13 – 17 – 19 – 24 and 26 August (22.00 pm), 2 – 9 -16 – 23 -30 September.

Hell in the Cave is a project produced by Grotte di Castellana srl, created by Alephtheatre, directed by Enrico Romita and dramatized by Giusy Frallonardo, with choreography by Vito Cassano and aerial choreography by Claudia Cavalli.

A combination ticket (including the Castellana Caves tour and the White Grotto) and a Hell in the Cave ticket are also available: the total cost will be €28 instead of €36.
