Great success for the first appointment in Largo Porta Grande of Summer Squares 2022, calendar of summer events organized and promoted by Municipality of Castellana Grotte (Ba) and Castellana Caves. Crowded square for Rocco Papaleo in Coast to Coast, who entertained the large audience on Monday 8 August, involving them in his journey through words, music, songs, poetic and realistic stories, monologues and surreal gags, and leading them to the discovery of his great passion for song-theatre.
The one with Papaleo, which also saw the surprise participation of the singer-songwriter Erica Mou, was the first of three free events organized by the Castellana Caves with the patronage of the Municipality of Castellana Grotte, but Largo Porta Grande will still be the site of a major event of the Castellana summer, Friday August 12 at 21 pm, with Ermal Meta in concert – Summer Tour 2022.
Author, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer, Ermal Meta, after his experience as a member of the groups Ameba 4 and La Fame di Camilla in the 4s, embarked on a solo career in 2013. In 2018, he won the Sanremo Music Festival 2018, teaming with Fabrizio Moro with the song "Non mi avete fatto niente," and represented Italy with Moro at the Eurovision Song Contest, held in Lisbon, finishing fifth. A new single, a new project, and a beautiful co-written adventure have been available on all digital stores and radio stations since March 4th: "Una storia più grande," performed by Ermal Meta and Giuliano Sangiorgi.

Two more important events await us immediately: on the 12th with Ermal Meta and on the 16th with Fabio Concato. We've already planned a parking and shuttle plan to ensure our many visitors are welcomed as appropriately as possible, with the least disruption to residents and traffic. A busy summer awaits us, and we're working, together with Councilor Fabio Caputo, the City Council, and the entire City Administration, to create the best possible experience.

After Ermal Meta's concert, it will be Fabio Concato with Musico Ambulante Tour Tuesday August 16 to close the three free events organized by the Castellana Caves and included in the rich calendar of Summer Squares 2022. While they will be inaugurated Thursday 11th August at 20:30pm appointments with Auditorium – An Unusual Thursday, events sponsored by the Castellana Caves that will take place every Thursday, until September 1st in Villa Comunale Tacconi.
