But on August 24 and 25, 2022, the stage installed in the central square of Castellana Grotte (Ba) will once again host the music, first with Francesco Baccini in concert and then with “My name is Luigi – Luigi Tenco’s life in music.”
Wednesday 24th August at 21pm will take the stage in Piazza Garibaldi Francesco Baccini & Alter Echo String Quartet – Bows and ArrowsTo celebrate his thirty-year career, Francesco Baccini reinterprets his most famous classics in a chamber music style, accompanied by the strings of the all-female crossover group Alter Echo String Quartet, guitarist and bassist Michele Cusato, and drummer-percussionist Maurizio Di Tollo. A humorous yet intimate unplugged show that unites two musical worlds: the rock side of Baccini that everyone knows; and the classical side of his youthful musical training. The setlist includes numerous songs, from the essentials like "Le Donne di Modena" and "Ho voglia di Innamormi" to lesser-known and rarely performed live pieces.
Thursday, August 25th at 21:00 PM Garibaldi Square will host My Name Is Luigi – Luigi Tenco's Life in Music", a musical show by Giorgio Vignali and Vito Schirone dedicated to Tenco, which aims not only to celebrate his musical creations but also to explore the man beyond his character, his soul, and above all, his moral standing and professional integrity. "My Name Is Luigi" is a journey into the soul of a man, before an artist. On stage will be Vito Schirone (actor/singer), Agata Paradiso (actress/singer), musicians Roberto Spagnoletta, Marco Campanale, Marco Galeandro, and Michele Di Ruvo, Giorgio Vignali (voiceover), Gaia Azzini, and Antonio Schirone (dance troupe). The choreography is by Rosy Loconte, the musical coordination is by Roberto Spagnoletta, and the direction is by Giorgio Vignali.
From August 27th the events of Piazze d'Estate 2022 will move to Largo San Leone Magno first with the San Leo Music Fest and other unmissable musical and theatrical events.
