Extraordinary openings at Castellana Caves (Ba) on the occasion of Carnival 2020. From Saturday 22nd to Tuesday 25th February, the Apulian karst complex significantly expands the range of guided tours, thus offering visitors more opportunities to discover one of the main tourist attractions of Apulia.
From February 22nd to 25th, it will be possible to visit the caves throughout the day, including in the afternoon. The full tour, a 3 km itinerary lasting approximately 120 minutes and leading to the resplendent White Cave, is available at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 14:00 pm, 15:00 pm, and 16:00 pm. The partial tour, which is shorter (1 km long and lasting approximately 50 minutes), and which does not include a visit to the White Cave, will take place at 13:00 pm and 17:00 pm. On the days before and after the Carnival long weekend, the visiting hours will remain unchanged (10:00 am and 12:00 pm for the full tour, 13:00 pm for the partial tour).
Furthermore, on Saturday 22 February it will be possible to combine the visit to the caves with the permanent show Hell in the Cave, a performance of Dante's Inferno in the bowels of the earth. For the occasion, a discounted package is available, including a full tour of the caves at 6:00 PM and the show at 9:00 PM (reservations can be made by emailing segreteria@grottedicastellana.it).
