The Musical Project
"Spassiunatamente” is a tribute to the culture and classical song Neapolitan, the beginning of a journey, without limits of time and space that sees the alternation of famous songs with lesser-known and sometimes forgotten ones... but no less important for that!
The meeting between these artists gave birth to a unreleased album where the art and the thickness of Peppe Servillo blend with the mastery and vision of the Solis strings making this product unique in its genre, and ensuring that through a refined and popular reinterpretation of a repertoire of classics ranging from Raffaele Viviani to EA, Mario to Renato Carosone , tell the story of a Naples that is not oleographic but rather a city that was and is a true European cultural capital in its own right.
“Spassiunatamente” means sincerely, immediately, without pretense, something that is done out of urgency, declaring oneself with passion”.
This is the project of Peppe Servillo and the Solis String Quartet in concert, a very specific formula and artistic choice, which strips these masterpieces of all the frills, making them absolutely elegant and refined without losing the strength and incisiveness that have decreed their worldwide success. A family trip which is expressed musically in ways that do not avoid comparison with what is happening around us, but which recall a vibrant humanity that has always vibrated and stirred in Neapolitan song.
The album does not propose itself as a philological testimony of an infinite songbook, but tries through leaps and moods to suggest a sentimental journey that takes us back to a tradition that someone called ... the life that teacher....
