Astronomical Observatory – Summer 2017
A night with Sirius it is the series of appointments with theAstronomical Observatory with Castellana Caves.
Astronomy evenings are scheduled for the days August 2, 4, 10, 18, 24 and 29.
With the guidance of the professor Nicola Rizzi, participants will observe the sky from the terrace of the Anelli Speleological Museum with a station equipped with two telescopes and a projector for multimedia illustration of the topics covered.
This is the program for each evening:
– the orientation and recognition of the main stars and constellations visible in the summer period;
– Arcturus star and M57, the death of solar-sized stars;
– M13, are there other forms of life in the Universe?;
– stars Antares and Deneb. The death of stars more massive than the Sun, supernovae, and black holes;
– Saturn, the planets of the solar system and extrasolar planets;
– Albireo star and multiple star systems;
– M31, Andromeda Galaxy;
– he X Per – double open cluster, the birth of stars.
The cost of the ticket is of 7 € for adults, €3 for children 6 10 from in years.
We recommend wearing clothing suitable for an activity carried out entirely outdoors.
