55 years after his mysterious death, Luigi Tenco is still a source of conversation, never failing to fill the pages of newspapers and on television.

This show, dedicated to him, aims not only to celebrate his musical creations but also to explore the man beyond his character, his soul, and above all, his moral standing and professional integrity. Thanks to the testimonies of his family, his friends, and Dalida, the French star who loved him boundlessly, his short life will be reconstructed and an extremely faithful portrait of the man will be provided.

My Name Is Luigi is a journey into the soul of a man, before an artist. It begins with a medley of songs that define the era in which Tenco found the musical inspiration that helped him embark on his professional growth. Meanwhile, the story of his youth and private life is told by Vito Schirone, alternately as singer and narrator, who, step by step, alternating with Luigi's humorous and light-hearted commentary on the song, punctuates the various, sometimes conflicting, stages of his maturity. And while the singer-songwriter's brief biography strictly follows the natural stages of his growth, the songs are presented following the moody, intellectual, and human moments of his experiences as a man. Thus, his relationships with love are woven together by his more sentimental creations, his commitment by those songs that at different times hinted at the seeds of a sincere love.
