"MED-ea. A Woman's Voices" returns on Sunday, January 15th.
Wednesday, January 11, Castellana Grotte – The evocative event "MED-ea. The Voices of a Woman," organized by ATC SottoSopra, returns to the Castellana Caves on Sunday, January 15. The wave of bad weather over the past week has forced the organizers to postpone the show, which was part of the "Christmas in the Caves" program. However, it will be rescheduled for this Sunday. There will be two performances today, at 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
The show has become a must-see event held in the evocative setting of the Castellana Caves. The vocal performance, inspired by the famous Greek tragedy Medea, takes place 70 meters underground, in the Caverna della Civetta, immersed in ancestral darkness. A unique experience, it is both eco-friendly and accessible to the blind. Reworked and adapted by Loredana Savino and Fabio Caruso, MED-ea can be described as an intense and captivating sensory experience where the viewer is completely immersed in a journey that fuses humanity and nature in a mutual interplay of shadows, lights, and sounds.
