THE CAVES REOPEN TO VISITORS ON SATURDAY, MAY 15

With Puglia turning yellow, the Castellana Caves will be officially reopened to the public from Saturday, May 15, 2021. The karst site, one of Puglia's main tourist attractions, is now ready to safely welcome visitors again, with the help of a specially designed anti-Covid-19 prevention protocol that proved extremely effective last year.

While waiting to define the most complete summer calendar, between regular visits and special events, in May the caves will be open to visitors every day, from Monday to Sunday. There are two visit options available: the complete one (an itinerary of approximately 3 kilometres leading to the White Cave and lasting 100 minutes) at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 and the partial one (itinerary of approximately 1 kilometer to be covered in 50 minutes) at 10:30, 11:30, 13:00, 14:30, 15:30 and 17:00. A complete visit is also available. in English at 11:00 and 16:00, and the partial one always in English at 9:30 and 14:30.

As always, tourists will be accompanied along the route following the safety protocol that includes, among other requirements: limited group sizes, temperature checks, social distancing, and the use of safety devices.
