A new visitor route has been created, a walk that will allow tourists to capture the beauty of the caves from many different perspectives.
Is called Caves click! and serves to guarantee a simple gesture – taking a photograph or a selfie – a gesture that until now in the Castellana Caves was only possible in the Grave, in the large entrance cavern. From April 25th, anyone who wishes will be able to book and take photos to immortalize the emotions of an unforgettable visit, capturing the shapes, colors, and atmospheres thanks to Caves Click! The "photo adventure" in the Castellana Caves, the new format reserved for photography lovers.
Visitors, accompanied by an expert guide, will explore the caves of the karst site, giving them the chance to take home an unforgettable memory of this underground wonder in the heart of Puglia. Five stops are scheduled during the walk to take pictures and film without slowing down the group. This is about a 1km route, lasting approximately an hour and a half, during which it will be possible to take photos and shoot short videos exclusively for personal use and for your social media. Professional photos for commercial use, in fact, can only be taken by prior arrangement with Grotte di Castellana srl (by writing to the email address segreteria@grottedicastellana.it) and not during these specific tours.
During "Grotte Click," the use of stabilizers will be permitted, but not professional tripods. Photos may be taken without flash or other lighting support devices.
Grotte Click joins the other itineraries created specifically to make the Grotte experience unforgettable – Speleonight, Speleofamily, Cave Star Experience and Una notte con Sirio – itineraries that integrate partial and full visits, and which are in addition to the reruns of the Hell in the Cave show.
< Serafino Ostuni, president of the Castellana Caves – Capturing the colors and shapes of the rocks to make a suggestion concrete has always been a request from tourists who somehow tried to take home as many photographic memories as possible, even though they are only permitted in the Castellana Caves. That's why we decided to organize tours where visitors will have plenty of time to take their best shots at the locations chosen along the way.
The first photography tours will take place on April 25th and 28th at 18:30 pm and then every Sunday in May at 17:30 pm..
