To cope with the steady increase in visitors, which has almost doubled since the beginning of the year compared to 2022 (+45%), the Caves have launched a recruitment process aimed at hiring new language guides.
The Castellana Caves, among the main tourist attractions of Puglia and among the most
visited in Italy, in order to satisfy the growing demand of visitors from all over
of the world, curious to discover their extraordinary natural architecture, are ready to
hire new staff to act as language guides.
The company Grotte di Castellana Srl has in fact opened a selection procedure for the
formation of a ranking of 30 candidates suitable to fill the position of "language guides",
with a part-time fixed-term employment contract (level 4 CCNL, Tourism Sector).
For admission to the recruitment procedure, which includes a written and an oral test,
Candidates are required to possess
- secondary school diploma with a linguistic focus
- secondary school diploma not with a linguistic focus but combined with
legally recognized certifications in at least two foreign languages chosen from English,
French, German, Spanish - degree with a focus on languages.

The applications, filled out exclusively through the specific online procedure, must
arrive no later than 18 pm on 3.06.2023.
The provisional ranking thus formed after the written test and the oral test by the
Commission, will be published on the Company's website www.grottedicastellana.it in
Transparent Company section – Staff selection, with notification value to all candidates
the effects. The first 80 candidates placed on the ranking will be admitted to the final selection.
following the written and oral tests, the examining commission will evaluate the qualifications and form the
final ranking of eligible subjects, consisting of the first 30 candidates, which will be valid for three
years from the date of publication and which may be used to cover any
fixed-term employment needs, such as temporary staff replacement
absent due to maternity, illness, injury, holidays, leave of absence or other forms of abstention
temporary leave from work; to integrate staff to deal with particular periods
of increased work or temporary needs; to carry out particular functions or activities
of interest to the Company limited in time.
