The Castellana Caves, in the south-east of Bari, for years natural stage of “Hell in the Cave”, the first underground aerial show in the world that combines dance, voices, sounds and lights in the natural setting of the Grave, On the occasion of the Dantedì celebrations, the spotlight will be on admirers and lovers of the verses of the Supreme Poet.
Saturday, March 25, 2023, starting at 10 a.m. and up to a few minutes before the show's repeat “Hell in the Cave”, near the entrance to the Castellana Caves, Anyone who wishes can perform by reading passages chosen from all the cantos of the Divine Comedy so much so that they became protagonists of the Day dedicated to Dante Alighieri.
A marathon that will engage readers of all ages and create the right atmosphere before the descent into Hell, staged in the Grave delle Grotte. Like a Broadway musical, the Grave delle Grotte becomes a destination for curious spectators eager to be swept away by the magic of the staging and the power of the verses.
The theatrical dynamics of “Hell in the Cave”, directed by the director Enrico Romita on the actress's dramaturgy Giusy Frallonardo, captivate the audience and lead them on an extraordinary sensory adventure. In "Hell in the Cave," spectators and actors become one, intertwining culturally and emotionally.
The Castellana Caves have also been the stage for concerts by great artists (from Battiato to Baglioni), book presentations, educational workshops for schools, “speleonights” and speleofamily events.
