THE CASTELLANA CAVES THROUGH AN EDUCATIONAL-EXPERIMENTAL PATH

The Castellana Caves and the F. Anelli Speleological Museum will host, from 16 to 19 October, the 4 edition of "Earth Week – Italy Discovers the Geosciences – A More Informed Society is a More Engaged Society”.
On the occasion of the Earth Week, now in its 4th edition, the Castellana Caves and the Puglia Caves Group are organizing the Geo-event “The Castellana Caves through an educational-experimental path” sponsored by SIGEA (Italian Society of Environmental Geology).
The initiative includes special visits to the karst site, following the complete itinerary leading to the White Cave, enriched with scientific insights to be developed in the Anelli Museum.
Visits are scheduled on the following days:
October 16, 17, 18, and 19, 2016
at 10.00 am – 13.00 pm and 15.00 pm
Visits can only be accessed by booking on the platform http://booking.grottedicastellana.it/ or by calling 3294132487, by 20 pm on the day before the visit.
The ticket price is 16 euros for adults.
Children up to 5 years old enter free. Children aged 6 to 14 receive a discounted ticket price of just 13 euros.
The event, born in 2012, aims to discover and enhance the Geological and Natural Heritage of Italy, through the organization of Geoeventi (excursions, workshops, guided tours, exhibitions, educational and experimental workshops for children and young people, musical and artistic activities, convivial tastings, conferences, conventions, round tables), events that enliven, from north to south, the entire Italian territory, during which scientific culture is spread and the Geosciences are promoted, as a means of understanding the peculiarities of the territory.
