For a few days, until August 27, 2022, the Franco Anelli Speleological Museum with Castellana Caves will host the exhibition Speleomedit.
The exhibition curated by the association TethysIn partnership with Italian Speleological Society, is composed of several panels with evocative images and a detailed description of the caves and karst of the Mediterranean countries and was created by Victor Ferrer with the contributions of dozens of authors.
The Speleomedit project aims to provide information and disseminate knowledge about each country directly connected to the Mediterranean Sea, making a fundamental contribution to creating a common awareness and strengthening ties between speleological groups and research organizations in the Mediterranean and the protection of karst and caves.
With this exhibition, which can be visited free of charge during the opening hours of the karst site, the Castellana Caves offer an important space for knowledge and in-depth study of the underground world to tourists and anyone who wishes to take advantage of the opportunity to learn about the caves of the Mediterranean area.
