The InValledItria installation at the Castellana Caves

The installation In Valle d'Itria continues to attract tourists and visitors to its multimedia itinerary, including acrobatic performances, photographic images, lights, sound reproductions and videos that tell the story of the landscape, events, food and wine excellences and places of art and culture that make this area unique.
The original tensile structure of the SAC "The Murgia of the Trulli: From the Sea to the Itria Valley", from 17 to 19 July reaches the city of Castellana Grottand will stop in the Anelli square, right in front of the entrance to the Castellana Caves, one of Puglia's main tourist attractions. "InValled'Itria" will welcome visitors before and after their journey into the magical underground world of caves, discovered in 1938 by speleologist Franco Anelli. The facility is open from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm throughout the weekend, and admission is free.
The large installation is crossing the eight municipalities of the network SAC "The Murgia of the Trulli: From the Sea to the Itria Valley", which started in June from Locorotondo, has stopped in Cisternino, Martina Franca, and now Castellana Grotte. The itinerary continues to Alberobello (July 24-26), Monopoli, Noci (August 3-5), and concludes in Putignano, the city of Carnival (August 10-12).
During the various days spent in the participating municipalities, entertainment activities and presentations of events taking place in this part of Puglia throughout the year will be organized (the events schedule is attached).
The InValled'Itria project is the second operation of the SAC "The Murgia of the Trulli: From the Sea to the Itria Valley", a "network" of municipalities for the valorization of the environmental and cultural assets of the local public heritage. The operation, desired by the SAC "The Murgia of the Trulli: From the Sea to the Itria Valley", aims to represent the Itria Valley as an "integrated territorial product", initiating a complex process, today essential for a successful destination, which sees the various and multiple stakeholders, already operating in the area, interact and cooperate with the common goal of building a structured and organized territorial offer that allows the transition "from destination tourism to motivation tourism".
The organization of the activities is handled by a group of national level companies that are leaders in their sector such as Museum System for the development of the territorial valorization project and Links Management & Technology for technological and multimedia solutions.
