Respect for the environment, the balance of man's senses in relation to his living environment, a road show Born to raise awareness on the issues of energy saving and human well-being. From 1st to 7th July, in Piazzale Anelli alle Castellana Caves (Ba) the experimentation of arrives Biosphera Project, initiative of Active House Thanks to the contributions of researchers, professionals, universities, and companies, the project has developed mobile, energy-independent housing units in three progressive phases. On the outdoor plaza and, partially, inside the Grave, the first cavern in the Apulian karst complex, the trial will focus on Biosphera Equilibrium, a house that regenerates body and mind, self-sufficient in energy and constructed entirely of wood. Equilibrium is an active building that produces energy and will be monitored both in terms of energy and the occupants' physiological and cerebral state.
Aktivhaus's Biosphera project revolves around a mobile, energy-self-sufficient, road-transportable housing module constructed entirely of wood. Its interior measures 32 square meters and includes all the necessary amenities. Its primary purpose is to test the relationship between human physiology and the surrounding environment as external climate conditions change. The project's foundation is to experiment and test the benefits a next-generation housing module can bring to humans in environments characterized by high levels of climatic stimulation. Biosphera Project also monitors the housing module's energy performance. Biosphera is a "zero energy" project: an energy-independent, human-scale home, built with the best possible technologies and capable of producing all the energy needed to live in it (in reality, it is an active building that produces four times more energy than it needs and consumes)..
The Biosphera project's traveling home continues its road show, testing it in a wide range of environmental conditions, having already visited key locations such as Milan, Locarno, Bolzano, Como, Rome, and Verona. The project will also visit the Castellana Caves, offering a taste of the experimental and detection techniques that will be installed 60 meters underground, at the bottom of the Castellana Caves (an environment characterized by a constant temperature between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius and particularly high humidity).

The experimentation, the living experience. From July 1st to 7th, the Biosphera Equilibrium housing module will be installed in Piazzale Anelli at the Castellana Caves. The module will be occupied by specially selected and trained guests for the entire stay. Inside, biodegradable tableware, eco-friendly detergents, and eco-friendly biodegradable soaps will be used.
The event, the roadshow.
