The next concert, again in Castellana Grotte, will be held on Saturday, December 16th.
Artist and philanthropist Patrick Girondi takes the stage.
It is the first major event in the Piazze d'Inverno program in Castellana Grotte, and is the first of four concerts scheduled for Christmas in the Caves.
Massimo Ranieri is the first singer to perform in the Grave Cave of the Castellana Grotte. This concert, 70 meters underground, will further enhance the rich program of events promoted from December to January by the Municipality of Castellana Grotte and Grotte di Castellana Srl.
On Thursday, December 14th, at 21:00 PM, Massimo Ranieri—the quintessential comedian—will enchant audiences with a show written specifically for the Grotte, an evening he strongly desired, fitting it into a theater tour of approximately 80 dates around Italy.
The setlist includes his greatest hits and snatches of Neapolitan classics, along with his new, joyful Christmas single, "Sorridi è Natale," written by Giuliano Baldassi. Massimo Ranieri will be accompanied by his pianist Seby Burgio and the guitars of Tony Pujia and Andrea Pistilli. This is Ranieri's only date in Puglia. A concert that will take the audience on a magnificent adventure that will unfold between theater and music, between words and unforgettable melodies.
On Saturday, December 16th, again as part of "Christmas in the Caves," a concert will bring relief to those suffering from thalassemia. The program features "Rocking with San Rocco. Christmas Concert," featuring Italian-American musician and philanthropist Patrick Girondi & the Orphan's Dream. This show embodies the Christmas spirit more than any other, especially given the evening's charitable purpose: Girondi will donate his entire fee to the Thalassemia Families Committee (https://comitatofamiglietalassemici.it).
Artists such as Franco Battiato, Claudio Baglioni, Tosca, Eugenio Finardi, Nada and Fausto Mesolella, Giuliano Sangiorgi, Chiara Civello, and Vinicio Capossela have already performed in the Caves.
