KITESURFING CHAMPION AT THE CASTELLANA CAVES
Airton Cozzolino enchanted by the first karst site in Puglia
Castellana Grotte, May 19, 2017 – He's usually accustomed to riding the waves and soaring through the sky with acrobatic jumps. Today, however, Airton Cozzolino, former Kitesurfing World Champion, set aside his board and sail to descend 70 meters into the heart of the earth and discover another natural wonder: the Castellana Caves.
In Puglia to participate in a Red Bull sporting event, Airton decided to stop in Castellana to visit its caves, which immediately left him enchanted.
Welcoming him on behalf of Grotte srl was Vice President Vincenzo Montaruli, who offered champion Airton Cozzolino the new guide to the Castellana Caves, allowing him to take home a souvenir of the fascinating underground world "Wonder of Puglia."
