Nine events, four of which are special, for Hell in the Cave between December 2021 and the beginning of the new year. The show set in the Caverna della Grave delle Castellana Caves (Ba), which has been selling out one show after another since July, will welcome spectators as always 70 meters below the surface and, during the Christmas season, will also be enriched by the contributions of four special guests, who will offer their personal vision and interpretation of Dante's work.
The first special guest will be Massimo Venturiello, actor, theatre director and voice actor, who will lend his voice to the show Thursday 23 December (box office 20:15 pm – curtain at 21:00 pm), when for one evening he will join the souls of Hell. Wednesday, December 29 (box office 8.15pm – curtain 9pm) live music will take centre stage for a unique interpretation of the Hell in the Cave soundtrack by the maestro Paul Peace, singer and musician. The special events will continue Thursday 30 December (box office 8.15pm – curtain 9pm), when the cast of the show will be enriched by the presence of the actor Ettore Bassi. Finally, appointment for the Epiphany with Vito Signorile, actor and director, researcher of songs and stories of popular tradition, who Thursday 6 January (box office 17:45 pm – curtain at 18:30 pm), during the show, he will read the poetic version in the Bari dialect of the Divine Comedy written by Gaetano Savelli.
Other events are also planned for the underground aerial show, a free performance of the first canticle of the Divine Comedy set in caves. The gates of hell will open once again to welcome spectators. The chosen cantos are among the most famous, featuring characters such as Lucifer, Minos, Pier delle Vigne, Ciacco, Paolo and Francesca, Count Ugolino, Brunetto Latini, Ulysses, and Beatrice.
