The programming is updated Hell in the Cave – verses dancing in the dark air, the largest underground air show in the world, a multimedia representation of Dante Alighieri's Inferno, the only permanent show in Puglia.
Officialized, as part of the project Crossing Arts, funded by the Puglia Region with the Municipality of Castellana Grotte and Grotte di Castellana srl, the schedule of performances for the coming months. There will be three events in July, always in the Grave delle grotte di Castellana (Ba): starting Saturday July 6, continues on Sunday 14th July and arrives on Friday 26th July (starting at 21pm).
Inspired by the circles of Dante's Divine Comedy, Hell in the Cave is hell seen from the center of the earth, 70 meters underground, among karst concretions shaped by nature over 90 million years. An evocative setting provides both the backdrop and the protagonist of the show, featuring damned souls and demons, as well as celestial, pure-white figures led by the enchanting Beatrice.
The calendar for the second part of 2019 has also been announced: Hell in the Cave will be repeated in the Grave of the Castellana caves for 20 more performances: Friday 9th, Saturday 10th, Friday 16th, Saturday 17th, Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th, Friday 30th and Saturday 31st August, Saturday 7th, Saturday 14th, Saturday 21st and Saturday 28th September, Saturday 12th, Saturday 26th and Thursday 31st October, Saturday 9th and Saturday 23rd November, Saturday 14th, Saturday 21st and Saturday 28th December.

A combination of the Castellana Caves ticket (full tour including the White Grotto) and the Hell in the Cave ticket is also available: the total cost will be €28 instead of €36.
