Will Hell in the Cave – Dancing Verses in the Dark Air to open the 2019 Carnival period of Castellana Caves (Ba). Saturday February 16, on the occasion of the debut of the Putignano Carnival, in fact, the largest underground aerial show in the world, inspired by the circles of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, will be staged in the Grave of the Castellana caves. It will thus open at 21 hours the 2019 program of the show and to offer the many tourists arriving for the first parade of the Putignano Carnival (scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday 17th) the opportunity to witness the only permanent show in Puglia.
Hell in the Cave is hell seen from the center of the earth, 70 meters underground, among karst concretions shaped by nature over 90 million years. An evocative setting serves as both the backdrop and the protagonist of the show, featuring damned souls and demons, but also celestial, pure-blooded figures led by the enchanting Beatrice. The cast of dancers and actors makes this a truly unique experience, one that has been racking up record-breaking numbers for years.
Hell in the Cave will also be performed on Saturday, March 16, Saturday, April 13, Wednesday, April 24, Tuesday, April 30, Saturday, May 11, and Saturday, May 25.
