A packed program of cultural events, concerts, cabaret, games, sports, and adventure will enliven the Castellana Caves area from August 5th to 16th. Much collaboration and enthusiasm for a new, exciting 2016 edition.
A few days to go for the second edition of “Grotteland, a summer wonder”, a surprising and very rich container of events that will liven up the area of Castellana Caves for twelve days, two more than last year given the great public response and consensus obtained in the first edition.
Sports, games, fun workshops, cave adventures, free shows, major concerts, book presentations, and much more. Twelve unmissable days that will entertain the whole family, including young people, who will enjoy the pine forest area with its charming stage. “Fuorimano Summer Festival” where the best proposals of the independent Italian music scene will be present with a programme covering different genres such as folk, singer-songwriter, pop, rock and electronic music as well as evenings dedicated to the screening of short films and music forums in which listening, screenings and narrations by experts in the sector alternate, thanks to important collaborations with the Immaginaria Short Film Festival of Conversano and The School of Rock of Monopoli.
To round things off, numerous food and wine stands open from 7:00 PM, a street of flavors that will delight every palate with exclusively regional products. Meatballs, grilled meats, fried fish, mozzarella, focaccia, pizza, orecchiette, breaded pasta, and much more; only local delicacies to celebrate our region, famous worldwide for its extraordinary richness, variety, and authenticity of food and wine.
There will also be around ten commercial stands located in the pedestrian area of the square which will be animated every evening by events organised by the association Castellana is convenient as well as inflatables and an antique carousel for children, magic tricks, horseback rides, and kite displays. In the pine forest area, a fascinating light display will also provide the backdrop to the event. Path of Knowledge where you can meet hobbyists, artisans, board game enthusiasts, and wellness professionals, as well as a reading area for children.
The event is also enriched by prestigious sponsors Peroni e Otis in addition to having the support and patronage of the Municipality of Montegiordano. Finally, the collaborative work and synergies aimed at diversifying the Grotteland program are extraordinary. twenty associations, in fact, will be involved in many fun and interesting activities with the aim of creating a unique atmosphere, a magic capable of astonishing anyone who visits the Castellana Caves and offering truly unforgettable moments.
