Le Castellana Caves (Ba) will be officially reopened to the public from Monday 15 February 2021. Closed since November 3, following the Prime Ministerial Decree containing urgent measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 and subsequent provisions, the karst site, one of Puglia's main tourist attractions, is now ready to safely welcome visitors again.
The caves will be open to visitors Monday to Friday at 10:00 and 12:00 By participating in the full tour, a 3-kilometer itinerary leading to the White Grotto and lasting 100 minutes. Due to current government regulations, weekend visits are currently not possible.
Tourists will be accompanied along the route following the safety protocol specifically designed for the Castellana Caves, which includes, among other requirements: limited group sizes, temperature checks, social distancing, and the use of safety devices. Both daily tours will be in Italian, but as always, it will be possible to install and use the app on your mobile device. “Castellana Caves – Guide in Italian, English, and LIS.”
