The repeat performance of Hell in the Cave on Sunday, December 12, 2021, is already sold out.
After the debut with the two performances of Hell in the Cave on the first weekend of December, the appointments continue with Winter Drops, calendar of events during the Christmas period in Castellana Caves (Ba), with three shows this week: Thursday 9 December 2021 Tosca Con Morabeza, Friday 10 Hell in the Cave's Dante Jukebox e Sunday 12th new rerun of Hell in the Cave.
TOSCA WITH MORABEZA
On December 9th at 20:30 pm the first appointment with live music in the Grave cave: Tosca with Morabeza, the new tour with which the artist pays homage to his successful latest album of the same name, for which he won two Tenco Awards in 2020 (best performer of songs and best song with “Ho amato tutto”).
Tosca, through an ongoing dialogue with the musicians, performs live the album's songs and more, pushing the boundaries of her musical research. While Morabeza is already a colorful, multilingual carousel celebrating the intertwining and cross-fertilization of peoples, a bridge between her Italian roots and the music of elsewhere, particularly French, Brazilian, Portuguese, and Tunisian, on stage Tosca further expands the scope of her exploration, embracing new soundscapes from an even broader area of northern Africa and exploring the recent and less recent repertoire of the Latin musical region stretching from Central and South America. The concert's texture is woven together by Massimo Venturiello, who also takes care of the staging, on the words taken from the I sing to the duration by Peter Handke. On stage with Tosca the musicians directed by Joe Barbieri: Giovanna Famulari on cello, piano and voice, Massimo De Lorenzi on guitar, Elizabeth Pasquale on double bass and voice, Luca Scorziello on drums and percussion, Fabia Salvucci on percussion and vocals.

HELL IN THE CAVE'S DANTE JUKEBOX
On December 10th at 20:00 pm, the caves will once again host the Divine Comedy with the Hell in the Cave's Dante Jukebox show, a new way to immerse yourself in this masterpiece.
The universal value of Dante's poetry has always been a cornerstone of Italian cultural identity and its global success, but too often the approach to the evocative power of the Divine Comedy is academic. Hell in the Cave's Dante Jukebox offers an unusual reading of the Divine Comedy, appealing to new generations—a little less grand, more dynamic, and captivating. It's an unconventional way to approach Dante's marvelous journey, with the help of a profound expert on Dante's work, Professor Federico Canaccini, which will respond to the audience's requests before the start and during the show. This exceptional way of talking about Dante's work will be framed by the performances of the actors of Hell in the Cave, a show that for over ten years has brought Dante's Inferno to the stage in the evocative setting of the Grave cave, and the illustrations of Roberto Abbiati, from whose hand will emerge images inspired by the sensations of the moment, drawings with a unique imprint. The show is curated by Artinscena by Annalisa Bellini.

HELL IN THE CAVE
Sunday, December 12th at 18:30 pm, a new performance of Hell in the Cave, a free performance of the first canticle of the Divine Comedy set in the Caverna della Grave of the Castellana Caves.
A show that combines dance, voices, sounds and lights, capable of embracing the entire natural environment of the largest cave of the Castellana Caves as a stage space, Hell in the Cave was born from a suggestion and a great love for the language and the work of Dante, with the direction of Enrico Romita and the dramaturgy of Giusy FrallonardoOn stage, for each performance, actors, performers, and dancers offer the audience a thrilling performance, while the evocative power of Dante's verses blends with a unique natural setting. The chosen cantos are among the most famous, featuring characters such as Lucifer, Minos, Pier delle Vigne, Ciacco, Paolo and Francesca, Count Ugolino, Brunetto Latini, Ulysses, and Beatrice.
