Grotte di Castellana finalizes co-marketing agreement with Alitalia

Castellana Grotte, May 11, 2013 – “Experience Italy” is Alitalia's new program, aimed at promoting destinations, events, and scenic spots. Those flying with the national airline will be encouraged to visit these destinations thanks to exclusive offers.

And Grotte di Castellana is the first – and to date – only stop for the Bari and Brindisi airports, thanks to an agreement between the national carrier and the Grotte company.

Alitalia passengers who present their boarding pass at the Castellana Caves ticket booth will receive an exclusive discount on their ticket. A dedicated "speedy boarding" desk will also be available.

The Grotte di Castellana agreement will benefit in terms of promotion throughout the country and through a carrier that transports hundreds of thousands of Italian and foreign passengers to the south and Puglia.

The Castellana Caves will be promoted through the "Vivi l'Italia" program on the Alitalia website and related sites, on boarding passes, at check-in, in the Ulisse magazine, and through on-board announcements upon landing at Bari and Brindisi airports.

Furthermore, the Caves will be "recommended" as a destination on Alitalia's Facebook page, which has over 1.000.000 fans, and through periodic online newsletters that reach over 2.500.000 Italian and foreign contacts.

"A truly zero-cost communications campaign that Grotte could never have afforded. And this is once again the fruit of our efforts to relaunch the Caves nationally and internationally, in line with our marketing and communications goals for 2013-14," comments Domi Ciliberti, president of Grotte di Castellana. "This result was achieved thanks to high-profile work and relationships we access through our marketing team."
