A weekend of promotions at Castellana Caves, which on the occasion of International Women's Day, in the days Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March, will reserve the possibility for all women who wish to visit the karst complex to access it with a reduced ticket (13 euros instead of 16 euros for the complete itinerary which includes the White Cave, 10 euros instead of 12 euros for the partial visit).
Visiting hours remain unchanged from previous months. On March 7th and 8th, as every day until the end of the month, it will be possible to take part in the tour leading to the White Grotto (a 3 km itinerary, lasting approximately 120 minutes) at 10 am and 12 pm, while the partial tour (a 1 km itinerary, lasting approximately 50 minutes) is scheduled every day at 13 pm.
La Castellana Caves srl, the company that manages one of Puglia's most important paid tourist sites, has released its February figures, which confirm the positive start to 2020. While January saw 4193 visitors (compared to 2521 in the same month in 2019), the number of tourists visiting the Caves in February 2020 stood at 4072 (compared to 2523 in the same month last year). This positive trend is also reflected in the great attention the karst site is receiving, thanks to the constant expansion of the tourist offering and services dedicated to it, with a greater focus on accessibility. For example, with the promotion of the project “100% Accessible Caves" on the occasion of the Bit in Milan at the beginning of February or a few days ago live on One morning, a well-known RaiUno programme, one of the most followed in the weekly morning slot, which every morning wishes good morning to around a million viewers.
