After the month of July entirely dedicated to the events of Crossing Arts and the World Dance Movement – The International Festival, the programme for the month of August is also particularly intense at Castellana Caves (Ba).
Piazzale Anelli, the Speleological Museum, the Grave, and the entire Apulian karst complex will be the site of numerous events, in addition to the "traditional" tourist flow that makes the Castellana Caves one of Puglia's most important attractions and one of the most visited paid tourist sites in Italy.
It starts from July 31st to August 4th with Summer Caves 2019, a series of events organised by Iniziative Castellanesi and Grotte di Castellana srl with the patronage of Municipality of Castellana Grotte and with the media partnership of Radio PugliaNature, games, sports, food and wine, and shows in Piazzale Anelli for an event that will combine events on the main stage with the food and games area of the Pineta.
Wednesday July 31th the inauguration with the dance performance by Asd Kreative and at 22pm Mancina Orchestra in concert.
Thursday August 1th The evening will open with the musical talents of the Acoustic Duo composed of Lory Coletti and Filippo Allegretti and Guardy Nerds, fresh winners of the Start Today contest held a few days ago at the Castellana Caves. At 22 pm, the stage in Piazzale Anelli will perform a concert. Baila – Zucchero Tribute Project.
Friday August 2th A literary opening with the presentation of the book "Ali di sabbia" by Vanna Ivone and a theatrical opening with the play "C'era una volta" by Filodrammatica Ciccio Clori (in the Pineta Grotte space). At 10:00 p.m. “Poohlive” – Pooh Tribute Band in concert followed by a DJ set with Pietro Ritella.
Saturday August 3th The weekend kicks off with the event "Fashion, Style, and Laughter on Stage," a fashion show and performance curated by Leti Eventi. At 22 p.m., on the main stage, Federico Baroni in concert. Followed by a DJ set with Danny Dee and entertainment by Radio Puglia.
Sunday August 4st, finally, closing in the name of sport with the ninth edition of the “Trofeo Grotte” running race, organised by Atletica Castellana” (18pm), in the name of solidarity with the Fratres Cuore Aperto space (20,30pm) and music with Terraross in concert (22pm).
Furthermore, every evening in the pine forest Inflatable park for children by the Inflatable Park Association and Tavola Games Organized by the Ludica Grotte – La Tana dei Goblin Bari association. All events are free and require no reservations.
