The "Pugliese Federation of Blood Donors" Association for "FIDAS on the Road".
Solidarity Makes Its Way, an event organized by FIDAS Nazionale with the aim of raising awareness about donating blood and blood components during a time of year when the need for blood is greatest.
From July 6th to 25th, two "FIDAS" campers will cross Italy from north to south, covering over 6000 kilometers and visiting 36 locations, where promotional events and training sessions will be held. On July 19th, Castellana Grotte will be the town's turn, becoming a "FIDAS Village" for one evening, with themed areas dedicated to health and road safety education, as well as recreational and sports activities.
The event received the patronage of national institutions (National Blood Center – Ministry of Health, SIMTI, ANCI, State Police, Carabinieri, ANAS and ASAPS) and regional institutions (Puglia Region, Province of Bari, Municipality of Castellana Grotte, Grotte di Castellana srl).
The event was presented at a press conference on July 15 by the Mayor of Castellana Grotte, Professor Franco Tricase, along with the President of Grotte di Castellana srl, Domi Ciliberti, and the President of the Castellana FIDAS Section and the President of the FPDS-FIDAS Association, Professor Rosita Orlandi, who is also a member of the Regional CRAT.
