Free event organized by Grotte di Castellana srl with the patronage of the Municipality of Castellana Grotte
Fabio Concato, one of the few Italian singers closely familiar with jazz, thanks to his characteristic musical harmony, will offer a concert based on music and words, somewhere between serious and humorous, a long journey from 1977 (the year of his recording debut) to today.
The MUSICO AMBULANTE TOUR will be an opportunity to hear not only his greatest hits, but also many other songs from his rich repertoire. He's now 38 years old, but he doesn't look it at all! Since those Storie di Sempre (1977), audiences have immediately understood they're dealing with an elegant songwriter, capable of great self-irony, and always attentive to environmental, social, and civic issues. His songs have become part of the history of Italian music and have accompanied us to this day, showing no signs of aging, but rather crystallizing emotions and verses that have entered the collective imagination.
Domenica bestiale, Fiore di Maggio, Guido piano, Rosalina, Sexi tango, O Bella bionda, and even the singles from her latest album, released in 2012, Stazione nord, and Non smetto di aspettarti will be some of the songs featured in the concert (which will also feature other welcome surprises), re-arranged and chosen according to the artist's most cherished themes. A beautiful journey to the heart and mind.
The repertoire is proposed again with great energy and complicity, together with the same musicians who contributed to the creation of the album itself: Ornella D'Urbano (arrangements, piano and keyboards), Stefano Casali (bass), Larry Tomassini (guitars) and Gabriele Palazzi (drums).
