The Astronomical Observatory

Observe the sky, learn to recognize the constellations, explore the planets and galaxies: A night with Sirius It is an exciting and accessible experience, designed for adults and children, which combines wonder and knowledge in a unique context.

The activity takes place in two phases: the first in the teaching room of the “Franco Anelli” Speleological Museum and subsequently on the terrace To guide the participants on a journey among the stars the experts of theACAS – Sirio Astronomical Cultural Association, responsible forSirius Astronomical Observatory.

Each appointment includes an introduction to astronomy, a display of minerals and meteorites, and guided observation of the sky, including viewing through a telescope.

A NIGHT WITH THE SIRIO FAMILY – little astronauts

A first encounter with the heavens, designed for children and their families. This experience guides children and parents in their discovery of the stars, planets, and the Moon through simple stories, guided observations, and interactive moments, creating an opportunity for authentic sharing beneath the heavens. It's a light-hearted and engaging way to approach astronomy, transforming curiosity into wonder and leaving little ones with lasting memories. The experience is recommended for children ages 4 to 10. It includes a dedicated children's ticket with an accompanying adult and lasts approximately one hour and thirty minutes. Children will receive a Little Astronaut certificate.

A NIGHT WITH SIRIO POP – From Film to Space 

The sky as you've never seen it before, blending cinema, fantasy, and scientific reality. An experience that draws on films and great science fiction stories to guide the audience through an engaging narrative of what really happens in space, distinguishing between fantasy and reality. Through accessible and contemporary language, sky observation is enriched with cultural references and curiosities, offering a new and stimulating way to approach astronomy. The experience is recommended for ages 8 and up and lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
