Starting from August 6th it will be necessary to show the Green pass also to access at the Castellana Caves (Ba), as established by Legislative Decree No. 105 of July 23, 2021, containing urgent measures to address the COVID-19 health emergency and for the safe conduct of social and economic activities.
The mandatory display of the Green Pass will cover all activities planned within the karst site, from guided tours to the show Hell in the Cave Any other activity taking place in one of the caves that make up the Castellana Karst basin from August 6th onwards. This requirement will be added to the other requirements of the safety protocol already in place since the post-lockdown reopening last year, which includes, among other things: limited entry, temperature screening for each visitor, mask wearing, hand sanitizing, completing the self-certification form, and maintaining social distancing.
As per the decree, visitors will be permitted to participate in activities inside the Castellana Caves if they have a Green Pass, proving they have received at least the first dose of the vaccine or have recovered from SARS-CoV-2 infection, or if they have a negative molecular or rapid antigen test performed within the previous 48 hours. These requirements are also mandatory for children aged 12 and over, while children aged 11 and under are exempt.
