Fabio Concato with Musico Ambulante Tour brought down the curtain in Castellana Grotte (Ba) on the stage set up in Largo Porta Grande for Piazze d'Estate 2022, thrilling and entertaining the audience with his hits and songs that have entered the history of Italian music. The events of the summer calendar promoted and organized by Municipality of Castellana Grotte and by Castellana Caves, with the artistic direction of Pino Savino, they are now moving to Piazza Garibaldi, which from 19th to 25th August will host four free shows organised by Municipality of Castellana Grotte e Castellana Caves.
Friday August 19th the central Castellana square will host the concert of the sound 2, aka Giovanni Donzelli and Vincenzo Leomporro, who to celebrate 25 years of musical career, released the new album 432 hz on April 12, 2019, which contains 11 new songs and 4 of their rearranged hits: Acqua e sale, Alle venti, Specchi riflessi, Rotola la vita.
Monday August 22instead, it will be Angelo Branduardi – The Hits Tour to open the week of events in Castellana Grotte with songs, a happy combination of music and poetry, which have made him unique on the Italian and international music scene.
Wednesday August 24 Piazza Garibaldi will be a stage for the live show Francesco Baccini & Alter Echo String Quartet – Bows and ArrowsFor his thirty-year career, Francesco Baccini reinterprets his most famous classics in a chamber music style, accompanied by the strings of the Alter Echo String Quartet, a female crossover group, guitarist and bassist Michele Cusato, and drummer-percussionist Maurizio Di Tollo.
Thursday August 25th appointment with the show “My name is Luigi”, musical tale of Giorgio Vignali e Vito Schirone who wants to celebrate Luigi Tenco, his music, and to tell the story of the man and his moral stature.
The four dates in Piazza Garibaldi overlap with the events and initiatives of the Committee of Patron Saints' Festivals as part of the celebrations in honor of Maria SS. Consolatrice and San Leone Magno: on Saturday, August 20th, Simona Bencini's songbook "Dai Dirotta su Cuba in poi" and on Sunday, August 21st, the one-man show "Solo" by Renato Ciardo (opening with a musical performance by Kaos Wacko and Punami).
