Three meetings To discuss in depth the rich and varied program of the Municipality of Castellana Grotte and Grotte di Castellana srl, and their plans for the coming years, focusing on traditions, folklore, culture, food and wine, and the local area.
This is what will happen during BIT, the International Tourism Exchange, which will be held in Milan from Sunday 4th to Tuesday 6th February 2024.
First of all, we'd like to highlight the two press conferences that will feature the Castellana area.
Sunday 4 February At 17.00 pm, the first of two press conferences will be held. A joint conference of Municipality of Castellana Grotte and Grotte di Castellana srl on the 2024 tourist, cultural, and artistic events and offerings for an immersive experience in the city. The mayor will be speaking with Domi Ciliberti, the president of Grotte di Castellana srl Serafino Ostuni and the director of the Caves Giuseppe Savino, Gianfranco Lopane Councillor for Tourism of the Puglia Region, Luca Scandale general director of Pugliapromozione and Aldo Patruno Director of the Tourism and Culture Department of the Puglia Region.
On Monday, February 5, 2024, at 3:40 p.m., a press conference will be held, involving the Municipalities of Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Noci, and Polignano a Mare. as part of the initiatives to support Alberobello's candidacy as "Italian Capital of Culture 2027”. Together the 4 Apulian municipalities will present the institutional collaboration project called “STONEMADRE”, created to enhance this area of south-east Bari, rich in culture, history, and nature, from a territorial and cultural point of view.

During the press conference, the four municipalities will reveal the first glimpses of the vision behind the project: the Stone as an element that links each of the four Municipalities in a perfect triangle drawn by the territory, and thewater which sculpts the stone itself, creating a wonderful path that winds through the trulli, caves, the sea, and farmhouses.
We also remember, and this is the third date, that Sunday February 4 15.00 hours il Municipality of Castellana Grotte will be present with the mayor Domi Ciliberti at the appointment organized at the conference area of the Puglia Region from "The Route of the Two Seas – Slow and Sustainable Tourism”The mayors of the municipalities affected by the passage of the path that extends from Polignano a Mare to Taranto, and therefore from the Adriatic to the Ionian Sea, passing through Castellana Grotte, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, and Crispiano, will sign a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their commitments to supporting slow and sustainable tourism.
