There are six reruns in the autumn calendar of Hell in the Cave, representation of the first canticle of the Divine Comedy set in the cave of the Grave. Hell in Castellana Caves It will be on stage Saturday September 24 at 9pm and then again Sunday 9 October at 20 pm, Saturday 22nd and Monday 31st October at 21 pm, Saturday 12th and Friday 25th November at 21: 00.
The permanent show of the Castellana Caves, which combines dance, voices, sounds and lights, and is capable of embracing the entire natural environment of the Grave cave as a stage space, was born from a suggestion and a great love for the language and the work of Dante, with the direction of Enrico Romita and the dramaturgy of Giusy FrallonardoOn stage, for each performance, actors, performers, and dancers offer the audience a thrilling performance, while the evocative power of Dante's verses blends with a unique natural setting. The chosen cantos are among the most famous, featuring characters such as Lucifer, Minos, Pier delle Vigne, Ciacco, Paolo and Francesca, Count Ugolino, Brunetto Latini, Ulysses, and Beatrice. The dramaturgy has overturned the poem's structure while leaving the evocative power of the verses intact, and the direction has enhanced the presence of the demons and the damned who crowd Hell. Spectators experience firsthand and firsthand the lives of the characters in the circles, fully immersed in a literary text that engages touch, hearing, smell, and sight.
