Wine tasting in a cave: a challenge for the senses
The Scopri la Puglia association, along with the communications agency LMCommunication, in collaboration with the Municipality of Castellana Grotte (Bari) and Grotte di Castellana Srl, under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Puglia Region, and the Province of Bari, is organizing "Bianca, Tipicità in Grotta – Puglian Food and Wine Festival" from July 23 to 26, 2014. The event aims to promote the region's food and wine culture, support local produce, and promote and develop tourism in Puglia. A unique sensory journey that engages body and soul, 60 meters underground, in the cool of the Castellana Caves, among mysterious stalactites and an intriguing musical background. The wine tastings included in the "Bianca, Tipicità in Grotta" program, the Apulian food and wine festival held in Castellana Grotte over four evenings, from July 23rd to 26th, engage all the senses. Above ground, there are stands selling typical products and local specialties with the DE.CO designation, along with tastings of first courses. A stage is set for pizzica and world music concerts, and meetings with food bloggers, journalists, tourism and cultural professionals, and agri-food producers. Down in the Grave, the extraordinary charm of wine sipped in a completely original setting, where the fruity aromas and the aromas of red, white, and rosé wines take on unpredictable nuances of color and flavor. An experience for refined palates, but also for tourists seeking new sensations, concentrated in a Puglia waiting to be discovered. Sip slowly, closing your eyes, and breathing deeply.
