Monday August 22 will be Angelo Branduardi – The Hits Tour to open the week of free events in Castellana Grotte (Ba) for Piazze d'Estate 2022, a summer calendar promoted and organized by Municipality of Castellana Grotte and by Castellana Caves.
Angelo Branduardi will bring his songs back to his audiences, a delightful blend of music and poetry that have made him unique on the Italian and international music scene. The "Italian minstrel" has long been showcasing his musical versatility, performing concerts with a variety of ensembles. He can easily transition from a duo performance of the classic music repertoire, part of his "Futuro Antico" series, to a classic folk-rock ensemble with bass and drums. While the first concert is a "less is more" experience, an intimate journey in search of the magic of sound, the second retraces the artist's entire, exhilarating career, studded with major hits. Accompanied by Fabio Valdemarin on keyboards, Antonello D'Urso on guitar, Stefano Olivato on bass, and Davide Ragazzoni on drums, Angelo Branduardi brings to the stage that musical and creative world that, drawing on folk legends and the sounds of the past, has made him unique on the Italian and international music scene.

While, after Branduardi's concert, two more events will take place in Piazza Garibaldi, which will host Wednesday August 24 Francesco Baccini & Alter Echo String Quartet – Bows and Arrows e Thursday August 25 lo spettacolo “My name is Luigi”, musical tale of Giorgio Vignali e Vito Schirone who wants to celebrate Luigi Tenco, his music, and to tell the story of the man and his moral stature.
The four dates in Piazza Garibaldi overlap with the events and initiatives of the Committee of Patron Saints' Festivals as part of the celebrations in honor of Maria SS. Consolatrice and San Leone Magno: on Saturday, August 20th, Simona Bencini's songbook "Dai Dirotta su Cuba in poi" and on Sunday, August 21st, the one-man show "Solo" by Renato Ciardo (opening with a musical performance by Kaos Wacko and Punami).
