Grotte di Castellana srl is among the 196 most competitive companies in Italy according to the special ranking drawn up by the Premio Industria Felix – L'Italia che compete (Italian Industry Felix Award – Compete Italy), now in its 53rd edition.
During the awards ceremony held on Monday, December 11th in Milan at the headquarters of Elite and Borsa Italiana in Palazzo Mezzanotte, Grotte di Castellana srl received the prestigious recognition for its excellent management performance and financial reliability, demonstrating its ability to maintain a strong balance between economic sustainability, social responsibility, and financial resilience.
The awards ceremony was attended by the mayor of Castellana Grotte, Domi Ciliberti, the vice president of the Castellana Grotte srl, Serafino Ostuni, and the artistic director of the Grotte, Giuseppe Savino.
"Receiving such a prestigious award when managing a publicly owned company has a significant and special significance. It's not always immediately apparent how difficult it is to live within the public administration before implementing the sound principles that can enhance the genetic heritage of a public company," commented Castellana Grotte Mayor Domi Ciliberti. "We represent a company that manages a natural treasure that dates back 90 to 100 million years. Over the years, we have worked hard to tell its story, reposition it, and transform it first into a story and finally into an emotion. Today, the Castellana Caves are not just a tourist attraction, but also a theater that hosts major cultural and musical events, a natural stage for a permanent performance of Dante's Inferno, and an interpretation and valorization of the sense of hospitality. Describing who we are isn't just our only distinctive feature, because through daily teamwork, with an ever-increasing focus on economic aspects and resources, we can enhance the value of our work." Castellana area, but also to the broader, tourist-focused region of the region. Our goal is to become increasingly attractive and generate greater revenue. This recognition recognizes everyone—from employees to staff and administrators—who have contributed and believed in this mission over the years."
"We are proud to have achieved a result like this because it highlights our daily commitment to developing the Caves in every way," said Serafino Ostuni, Vice President of Grotte di Castellana srl. "The Industria Felix Award is the result of years of collaborative work by many people who have worked and continue to work every day to ensure the best possible management of such an important and complex karst site as the Caves. It's not easy, it hasn't been easy, especially in recent years, but we challenge ourselves every day and strive to achieve increasingly reliable and sustainable goals while maintaining the health of the company, which is what defines the quality of our management. The Castellana Caves are not just a tourist attraction, but a point of reference for thousands of people who continue to believe in what we do and what we offer."
