With the arrival of spring and the long weekends of April and May, the Castellana Caves They are the ideal destination to treat yourself to one of the most beautiful underground shows in Italy.
An extraordinary excursion to a depth of approximately 70 meters in a stunning setting of stalactites, stalagmites, fossils, cavities, and caverns with fantastic names, with a temperature of approximately 16°C.
In the month of April the Castellana Caves will remain open every day with the possibility of morning and afternoon guided tours, in the presence of expert multilingual guides. Furthermore, every Sunday afternoon (April 2, 16, 23 and 30) will be dedicated to the SpeleofamilyAn adventurous trail to enjoy with the whole family. A 1km tour with caves illuminated by the provided helmet lights, led by two expert speleologists. The itinerary includes a visit to a branch not included in the traditional route, allowing you to discover the karst site like true explorers.
Longer and equally adventurous, On Monday April 24 will take place there SpeleonightA nocturnal adventure in the footsteps of the first discoverers. A 3-kilometer trail, led by two speleologists, also includes access to a branch not included in the daily tour. This is an opportunity to delve deeper into the history and geology of the caves and admire them amidst light and shadow.
Finally, Easter Saturday April 8th and April 22nd and 29th, in the natural setting of the Grave starting from 21 will go on stage “Hell in the Cave”, the world's first underground aerial show inspired by Dante's Inferno, combining dance, voices, sound, and light. Among the damned and iconic characters from the first canticle of the Divine Comedy, spectators will become part of the scene, following in the footsteps of the Supreme Poet.
