ABBATISSAE – Women, power and other stories is the travelling historical reenactment of the phenomenon of "Monster of Puglia” (Amazement of Puglia), which defines the extraordinary nature of five centuries of spiritual and temporal power over the lands of Castellana, held by a woman, the Abbess.

Starting from Largo Porta Grande (Arch of Via Don Cristoforo), divided into groups, the audience will be catapulted into a bygone time and space made up of novices, abbesses and the stories and characters associated with them.
Entrance is scheduled from 8.30pm and then every 10 minutes, until 10.10pm (last entrance).
