Immerse yourself in history and discover the events that affected the municipality of Castellana Grotte during the plague epidemic of 1690-1691.
From Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th January it returns to the historic centre of Castellana Grotte From the Origin | Chapter 2 – Jehoshaphat – Where it all began, a traveling historical reenactment with immersive installations.
You'll meet the key historical figures who shaped the years 1690-91, and discover the customs and traditions that developed within the population during the epidemic itself. A story based on manuscripts and documents that document the events of the era, with a human focus: the life stories of the men and women who suffered, loved, lived, and truly walked the streets of the town during that dramatic period.
